The Sports Collective is a new and progressive initiative created to strengthen and support Australia’s independent sporting retailers. Founded by Associated Retailers Limited (ARL), our purpose is simple: to give local sporting stores the power to compete, grow, and thrive in an ever-changing retail landscape.

We bring together independent sports retailers from across the country under one united platform — combining national buying strength, shared resources, and collective expertise, while ensuring every member retains what matters most: their independence and unique local identity.

As part of the wider ARL family, members of The Sports Collective gain access to enhanced supplier partnerships, centralised charge-through systems, and the benefits of scale that traditionally favour major chains. This allows independent stores to operate with greater efficiency, secure stronger commercial terms, and unlock new opportunities for long-term growth.
